Opening Night: SUBTERRANEA
Last night Suspended Cirque premiered their original Aerial Circus Musical production of SUBTERRANEA: An Urban Fairytale at the Connelly Theatre in the East Village to the delight of an enthusiastic audience.
Utilizing a unique combination of music, dance, and of course Aerial Circus Arts to tell the story of an Everyman fallen into an underground subterranean world, Suspended CIrque has created a new hybrid of theatre.
The production runs from April 28th-May 8th.
Tickets are available through Smarttix: http://www.smarttix.com/show.aspx?EID&showCode=SUB14

SUBTERRANEA Dress Rehearsal
Well… we’ve rehearsed it, adjusted it, polished it, and gave it two dress rehearsals yesterday — and now tonite is opening night!
We invite everyone to join us down in SUBTERRANEA: An Urban Fairytale.
Below are a batch of pictures taken over several tech rehearsals and dress rehearsals that should whet your appetite. Enjoy!
SUBTERRANEA Goes Up
Hi Everybody!
Well it’s finally here! It’s opening week for SUBTERRANEA.
We loaded all of the gear into the Connelly Theater on Sunday, and spent all day setting up the rigging, and starting to set the lighting plot.
You should get more info/tickets/directions here.
Here are bunch of pictures showing Day One of creating the stage and set for SUBTERRANEA.
KickStarter Success!
Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who helped support Subterranea through our recent KickStarter campaign!!!
As of this past Sunday evening, the KickStarter campaign has concluded, and with your help we raised $7,605.00; that’s over 150% of the amount that we hoped to raise! These funds will really help offset the enormous costs involved in staging this performance.
We would also like to thank everyone who attended the Sneak-Peak performance party on March 12th. That event was also a huge success!
So now we are just over 3 weeks away from opening night on April 28th! Can you believe it! We can’t!
Andrew Oswald has been directing his butt off, and the music from composer Jeff Halpern sounds amazing! We’re really blessed and excited to be working with guest performers Megan Loomis and Lani Corson. We should be seeing some of the wardrobe designed by Chasity Neutze really soon.
*** TICKETS are now on sale for Subterranea. ***
There are 11 performances, we hope you’ll be able to share an evening with us.
