Swingin' at Jack's Gets Rave Review on Broadway World
Gabrielle Sierra at Broadway World has posted a wonderful review of our currently running show “Swingin’ at Jack’s.”

“The members of Suspended Cirque work their multi-talented butts off singing, dancing, and acting, so when you realize that they are also fully capable of twisting on ropes while suspended from the ceiling, well, it is just too cool.”
“One of the best acts is called “Girls Out On A Limb”. During this number all three ladies take to the trapeze, swinging in unison or succession, holding on to one another for vital support. I can’t even imagine the strength it takes to hold yourself up on a rope while also holding another woman by your ankles, but they do it with ease.”
“Swingin’ At Jacks’ provides the ideal mix of circus, theater, live music, and alcohol. The price is right, and the show is just long enough to act as your Sunday night’s main event or as a great starter to a longer evening.”

Stephanie Simon of NY1 News interviewing Ben Franklin
Stephanie Simon, Arts Reporter at NY1 News, paid a visit to the Suspended Cirque cast today over at the Galapagos Art Space. We performed a few numbers for her on camera, and each of us did a short interview. Ms. Simon was great to chat with, and she made us all feel really comfortable.
The segment should appear on the NY1 television station early next week. We’ll let you all know when it’s airing.

Thank you so much to everyone who came to see our show “Speak Easy” this weekend! Saturday night was packed, a completely full house! We had a ball performing for you all.
We have put up a bunch of pictures taken by (our web designer, photographer) Kenneth Feldman over in the Visual Gallery. Check ‘em out!

Suspended Cirque Raises Almost $500 for The Salvation Army
The audiences at Suspended Cirque’s 12 Acts of Christmas contributed $496.99 to the Salvation Army bucket during the performances. We wrote and sent a check in that amount to the Salvation Army in the days after the show.
Thank you to everyone for their generosity!

The beauty of watching live performance lies in bearing witness to art unfolding right before your eyes. And “Urbanopolis,” Suspended Cirque’s latest site-specific, aerial creation at Galapagos Art Space in DUMBO delivers just that. The show is a low-budget indie Cirque du Soleil from its burlesque chick acrobats to its hula hoop skirts, to the shreds of newspaper dangling from a hoop descended from the ceiling, proving that heart and creativity trump dollars and glitz every time.

Suspended Cirque sends a huge, giant THANK YOU to everyone who came out to see our three performances of URBANOPOLIS!
We couldn’t have done this without the support of our friends and families, our community of aerialists and performers, the Galapagos Art Space and staff, and the extended group of old and new fans. Thank you and thank you, again and again!

WOW!!! Urbanopolis’s first night was so exciting, we had a blast performing it tonight!
